Risk and Compliance Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity that has become available for a Risk and Compliance Assistant, this is an initial fixed-term contract of 9 months (with the possibility to be made Permanent).
This role will offer room for growth and further development with the opportunity of being open to Law Graduate's that are interested in a career within Risk, Compliance and GDPR.
The successful candidate will report to the Risk and Compliance Solicitor with the main function of working on projects – GDPR, dealing with complaints as well as updating policies and manuals.
Assisting the Risk and Compliance solicitor with all aspects of legal compliance on a daily basis
Training, inputting webinars and other training on the training portal, downloading training records for leavers and adding new starters
Assisting with the audit process
Arranging the new starter talks and ensuring training manuals are up to date
Keeping up to date all central registers and the collation of risk data for the quarterly reviews
Assisting with survey questionnaires and updating all firm wide policies in line with the firm’s obligations
Dealing with all compliance queries or complaints in the absence of the compliance solicitor
Have an understanding of AML/CTF, data protection (GDPR/DPA 2018) and Lexcel accreditation.
Background in or experience of compliance / practice management in a reputable law firm or other regulated organisation
Educated to Degree level (minimum)
Strong and competent user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
High Wycombe (Travel to the other offices will be required from time to time)
Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm (Full-time role, can be part time and/or flexible for experienced candidates based on individual needs)
