Are you looking for a rewarding role to help others? Our client, a specialist charity are looking for a Senior Housing Management Officer to join their small team to work with residents to ensure their tenancies are maintained and remain secure. The ideal candidate will be someone who has previous experience and knowledge of Housing Benefits or in a Care based role who has led a team previously.

Key Responsibilities:

- The Senior Housing Management Officer will be responsible for the new residents’ application process, for managing referrals and ensuring accurate records are maintained by all staff.

- Ensure the supported accommodation is meeting the objectives and performance criteria for the charity, including all maintenance and repairs are dealt with promptly.

- The Senior Housing Management Officer will be responsible for resolving problems and discrepancies with residents on housing benefit and other social benefit.

- Must work towards a target of 99% occupancy at all times for supported accommodation and ensure rooms have a turnaround of 1 day or less.

- Ensure the confidentiality of residents is respected at all times and oversee the small team in their work ensuring all documentation is completed and put onto the relevant systems.

Key Attributes:

- Must be flexible and adaptable due to the shift pattern with occasional emergency cover or sleepover.

- At least 2 years’ experience in a senior role and 1 years’ experience working with vulnerable people with an NVQ in Health and Social Care being essential.

- Strong IT skills with an ability to manage a team effectively
