Job description:

Our client, well known in the freight and logistics sector, have a new opportunity available for an experienced Imports Coordinator. The role will be responsible for managing the full import process for a shipment, from start to finish.

Interested candidates, must have 3 years+ experience of import customs entries and good knowledge of CPC codes & customs tariffs.

ROLE:
Raising job files and inputting data into FM3
Complete day to day import documentation
Deal with all aspects of customs entry declarations, co-ordinate with customs for clearance and manage customs entry exceptions
Develop relationships with customers for a professional and efficient service
Communicating with clients regarding consignment progress
Book appropriate transport
Develop new business sales
Support and cover export processes
Communicating with sales and operations team
Provide administration assistance to sales team

ATTRIBUTES:
Ability to calculate Duty & VAT cost for individual shipments
Experience of completing import and export entries
Experience using ASM Sequoia
Knowledge of the shipping process surrounding Brexit – an advantage but not mandatory
NCTS knowledge – great advantage
Experience using FMS (not essential as training will be given)
Import knowledge of TA and bonded warehouse clearances

Hours:

Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm

Salary:

£28,000 - £31,000
