Job description:

Our client seeks an experienced Legal Secretary to join their well-established firm in Marlow.
The Secretary will be supporting the nominated Partner and department Fee Earners in the Family and Divorce team .

Role:
Full secretarial support including typing of correspondence and legal documents.
Answering incoming calls from new and existing clients and being a key point of contact.
Correct matter set up, filing of correspondence and other papers and ensuring compliance where appropriate.
Proper maintenance of the Fee Earner’s files.
Preparation of bills as directed by the Fee Earner.
Accepting cash or cheques from clients in payment of costs, disbursements or on account of costs and ensuring that a RECEIPT FORM is completed and handed with the payment.
Making appointments for the Fee earner and keeping the diary up-to-date.
Maintaining a back-up record of all key dates.
Timely delivery of outgoing correspondence.

Attributes:
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Excellent typing with previous Legal Secretary experience.
Good working knowledge of MS Office (including Excel).
Preferably an understanding of Case Management systems.
Ability to work well under pressure / tight time constraints.
Strong team player with a proactive positive and can-do attitude.
Confident in using own initiative and to work with the team.

Hours:

Monday to Friday (8:30am -5:30pm)

Salary:

Salary Negotiable on experience
