Job description:

Our client, an award winning Chartered Accountancy is looking for a Senior Tax Associate to join the team, They are well established and have supported a wide range of business’s.
As a Senior Tax Associate you will work with the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of technical personal or corporation tax services

Qualifications & Experience:
Qualified ATT
Minimum 2 years experience managing portfolio of client or minimum 4 years work experience within personal tax

Technical, Training and skill levels:
Undertake CPD in accordance with Institute requirements and maintain up-to-date CPD record
Ability to understand the needs of the client through direct contact and managing a portfolio
Communicates effectively at all levels with colleagues and clients including good documentation of work and uses initiative
Main point of contact as portfolio manager, directly liaising with clients to ensure completion of assignments is in line with planned timescales
Team member on complex clients, working with more senior staff/partners
Maintains a high level of professionalism when meeting clients
Takes ownership of appropriate assignments maintaining quality of work whilst organising and managing time efficiently and effectively
Delegate work to trainees, assistants, less experienced seniors and coaches junior members of the team
Take on more of a supervisory role with trainees, assistants and less experienced seniors.
More involvement in dealing with difficult situations with clients
Good understanding of income tax, capital gains tax, national insurance & PAYE/corporation tax and business tax
Able to research when personal knowledge or understanding is lacking or for senior staff members where appropriate
Aware of relevant financial targets and constraints and contributes to achieving these.
Manages own client budgets keeping partner informed of progress and potential problems including actual vs. budget.
Plans time effectively and completes timesheets by the required deadline
Aware of work pressures, peaks and troughs
Maintains high professional standards of conduct and practice
